I agree, it's horrible drawing from her neck! Thanks, Dad is doing okay, working hard to be able to go home but none of us know if that's probable at this time.

I hope you got to watch Patch Adams again, I love some of the quotes from the movie. Definitely encouraging words to carry in our hearts.

When the vet draw blood from my cat Chip, they take it from the lower part of his front leg... sounds horrible that they draw it from the throat!

I'm happy to hear that your dad sounded good and I hope he didn't hurt his back too much.

I too love the Patch Adams movie, it really is a feel good movie, thanks for the reminder - I will see it again.

I am so sorry to hear you are going through such a rough time... I'm sending you all my thoughts of strength and really hope you soon find peace at heart.

Reading your post makes me want to suggest a book, if you'd be intrested in reading or find the time. It's called "The Power of Now" and is written by Eckhart Tolle.

I too was never too keen on the pink colour, but for some straaange reason this is changing and it seems the older I get the more I like pink. I'm even carrying a wee pink Hello Kitty bottle in which I carry water or energy drink hahaa

Thank you for sharing your own personal experience about living with a brain injury and the attitude of gratitude you are striving to maintain. While you acknowledge that you can be more susceptible to depression after your injury, it is wonderful that you are also able to find so many things to be optimistic about. We hope that your observations and positive spirit can not only inspire other TBI survivors, but also help the family members of victims who may still be struggling to understand living with these injuries.
